I can do hard things. I know I can, even when I don't feel like I can.
But sometimes, it's that I don't want to. 'Cause I don't wanna. And when that happens...that whining "I just don't wanna" moment...I realize I probably need to do it anyway. The only thing holding me back is myself. I don't want to make excuses.
So, this past fall, this was my motto: I can do hard things. First (and this is a big one) I did an outdoor show. The unpredictability of an outdoor show makes me uncomfortable, so I usually avoid them.Even harder, it was the first out-of-town show I had ever done before. Fortunately, this one turned out to be a peach of a weekend and a good show.
But that's not all. Harder than ever, I scheduled myself for 12 shows in 9 weeks. On top of working at a gallery. On top of being a mom. On top of actually making jewelry. It made for a challenging fall schedule, but I got through it. I even asked friends for help, which I'd never done before. And guess what. They were more than happy to help!
So now, I have to ask, what hard things am I gong to do this year?
What hard things are you going to do this year?
